The Stars' only response was a penalty by outside half Aaron Davies.

Resolven RFC   61   Aberavon Green Stars RFC   10

Resolven took full advantage of a home fixture at Vaughan Road and fine weather in this second league fixture of Division 2 West Central and had run in their fourth bonus point try before half time.

In the first quarter tries were scored by outside half Owen Evans and flanker Calum Hughes and in the second quarter by hooker Nicky Reed and number 8 Ashley Morgan. The referee awarded them a penalty try and Owen Evans put over three conversions and two penalties. The Stars' only response was a penalty by outside half Aaron Davies leaving them trailing 37-3 at half time.

After an early try in the second half by Resolven's full back Nathan Davies the Green Stars pack had a purple patch and following sustained pressure their prop Jonathan Thomas crossed the line for their only try converted by Aaron Davies. Nathan Davies then scored his second try converted by winger Sean Tennant. Just on time Resolven got another penalty try converted by Tennant and winger Christian Sandry dabbed down for an emphatic win.

Next Saturday Aberavon Green Stars entertain Ystradgynlais at Little Warren.
