Aberavon Green Stars RFC 5 Nantymoel RFC 15

Aberavon Green Stars failed to capitalise on home advantage and a healthier playing squad at Llttle Warren today and Nantymoel took the honours with a try count of 2:1. They were very quick off the mark with their right wing Kieran Townsend crossing the line within two minutes of the starting whistle. Outside half Ryan Davies converted and put his team further ahead ten minutes later with a penalty. Green Stars then scored their first try of the season, appropriately, by their all action captain Riley Kehoe at number six. This was soon counteracted with a second try by Townsend.

The half time score of 5-15 remained the final result with heavy rain in the second half not helping scoring chances. Although Green Stars winger Salman Khan did finish off one of several good threequarter movements with a try wide out but it was disallowed by the referee owing to a misunderstanding with the home touch judge.

Next Saturday Aberavon Green Stars are away to Cwmgors before facing Division 1 side Trebanos in the Bowl Competition at Little Warren on October 29.
